CNC Machinist in Washington, North Carolina at Rise Capital

Principal Duties:

· Setup, program, and operate CNC milling and turning centers

· Correctly interpret blueprints.

· Makes mathematical conversions to figure the measurements of the final product.

· Operates hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, grinders, drills, files, indicators, height gauges, etc.

· Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Works efficiently to meet production requirements.

· Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Requires a first-year machinist degree, current work experience will be considered also.

· Metal fabrication experience

· Requires two years’ machining experience.

· Must furnish own tools.

· Must be self-motivated to be able to work with little or no supervision.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Able to measure and machine to within .001”

· Requires the ability to read and follow blueprints and product drawings.

· Shop math skill is needed to be able to perform algebraic equations and to figure dimensions and convert measurements.

· Uses geometry and trigonometry to design machines.

· Skill is needed to be able to operate hand and power tools, and all machine shop equipment.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

· Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.

· Must be able to stand, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.

· Proper PPE must be worn at all times.

· Often works under time constraints.

· Works flexible hours to accommodate machine shutdowns and breakdowns.

· Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
