The Cloud Connectivity Engineer will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud networking solutions that support reliable and secure digital environments.
This role focuses on building modern cloud connectivity architectures, including hybrid networking, routing, security controls, and automation.
You will collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver resilient infrastructure solutions that perform at enterprise scale.
The ideal candidate combines strong networking fundamentals with hands-on cloud expertise and a passion for infrastructure automation.
This position offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, improve cloud reliability, and contribute to advanced networking strategies.
You will work in a remote environment where technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities:

The Cloud Connectivity Engineer will be responsible for designing and operating cloud networking infrastructure while ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments. The role requires strong technical ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver reliable network solutions.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud networking architectures including VPC/VNet environments, subnets, routing configurations, and security groups.
  • Build and manage cloud transit networking solutions using technologies such as AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, or equivalent platforms.
  • Implement hybrid connectivity solutions including Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, and VPN technologies.
  • Architect and support edge networking solutions, including CDN integrations, global load balancing, and web application firewall configurations.
  • Develop and maintain DNS strategies across cloud environments, including hybrid DNS resolution and enterprise-scale naming architectures.
  • Implement private connectivity solutions for managed cloud services using technologies such as PrivateLink, Private Endpoints, or Private Service Connect.
  • Automate cloud networking infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices, particularly Terraform.
  • Configure and maintain network security controls including firewalls, access policies, network ACLs, security groups, and DDoS protection.
  • Support Kubernetes networking environments, including CNI configurations, ingress solutions, and service exposure patterns.
  • Build and enhance network observability through flow logs, traffic analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Optimize cloud networking costs through efficient architecture design and resource management.
  • Partner with security teams to strengthen network protection and support zero-trust security initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues across cloud, hybrid, and enterprise environments.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud networking technologies and recommend improvements to existing architectures.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring deep networking expertise combined with practical cloud infrastructure experience. The ideal profile demonstrates strong technical judgment, automation skills, and the ability to design secure and scalable connectivity solutions in complex environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional networking experience, including significant hands-on experience with cloud networking.
  • Strong experience designing and operating networking solutions in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, BGP, TCP/IP, and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience implementing hybrid cloud connectivity solutions such as Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPN, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience using Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform, to automate cloud networking environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and network protection mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, service mesh concepts, and container networking patterns.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet-level analysis and diagnosing complex connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer certifications.
  • Experience with multi-cloud networking and cloud-to-cloud connectivity strategies.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms and SASE architectures.
  • Experience with eBPF-based networking tools.
  • Exposure to regulated industries requiring advanced network segmentation and security controls.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Competitive annual salary range of approximately $100,000 - $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Full-time direct employment opportunity.
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale cloud infrastructure and modern networking technologies.
  • Career growth opportunities within an established technology environment.
  • Collaborative culture focused on innovation, learning, and technical excellence.
  • Opportunity to contribute to cloud, AI, data, and enterprise technology solutions.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity and professional development.
