As a Software Engineer (SRE), you will help build and maintain the systems, automation, and processes that enable reliable software delivery across multiple development teams. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders to improve deployment efficiency, operational stability, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Design, develop, and maintain SRE tools, automation frameworks, and deployment processes to improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in architecture and security reviews for reliability and infrastructure projects.
- Promote cloud technologies, CI/CD practices, and automation solutions across engineering teams.
- Build and optimize secure development workflows and operational processes.
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand deployment requirements and create scalable solutions.
- Deploy and configure application builds, containers, and services across cloud environments, including Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage and automate test database deployments and application configuration processes.
- Identify infrastructure requirements, optimize cloud resource usage, and support cost management initiatives.
- Troubleshoot failed builds, deployments, and environment issues by analyzing logs and resolving configuration problems.
- Maintain visibility into environments, deployed versions, availability, and operational status for engineering teams.
- Manage software configuration and release activities using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Participate in production support activities, including on-call rotations to maintain service reliability.
The ideal candidate has experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation, with a strong interest in building reliable and scalable systems. You should be comfortable working with modern DevOps tools, troubleshooting complex environments, and collaborating across technical teams.
- 2–4 years of experience working with technologies such as Java, Groovy, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills, particularly with Python, Groovy, or similar automation languages.
- Experience with build tools such as Gradle, Maven, or NPM.
- Hands-on experience supporting production-grade systems, including Linux administration, deployment processes, monitoring, high availability, and reliability practices.
- Experience working with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Practical knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, and S3.
- Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Docker-based environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation methodologies, especially Jenkins.
- Experience implementing deployment strategies such as Blue/Green deployments is preferred.
- Familiarity with developer tools including Bitbucket, Artifactory, and source control workflows.
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools such as Sonar or Black Duck is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
