Values Into Action is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Enhanced Support Partners (Direct Support Professionals). In this role, you'll provide individualized support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they pursue meaningful lives in their communities.

We believe great support starts with great relationships. Our team members partner with people to build independence, explore interests, connect with their communities, and achieve personal goals.

We are currently seeking staff to support two individuals with diverse strengths, interests, and support needs.

This is a FULL-TIME POSITION for the following shifts:

PERSON 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9AM - 3PM

Person 2: Tuesday and Thursday: 8AM - 5PM

Essential Responsibilities


Community Participation & Relationship Building
  • Support participation in community activities, volunteer opportunities, social events, and recreational activities
  • Encourage independence, self-determination, and choice-making
  • Provide transportation and support during community outings
Health & Wellness Support
  • Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and personal wellness goals
  • Support participation in exercise and physical activities
  • Provide positive coaching around nutrition and healthy habits
  • Assist people in understanding how choices may affect their health and wellbeing
  • Monitor and communicate health-related concerns according to established procedures
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Personal care assistance
  • Meal support
  • Feeding assistance
  • Mobility support and transfers
  • Medication administration
  • Assistance with daily routines and household activities
Enhanced Support Responsibilities
  • Provide verbal prompting and coaching to support appropriate social interactions
  • Assist with maintaining healthy social boundaries
  • Use calm, respectful communication and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Support emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Implement individualized plans and behavioral supports
  • Assist with specialized health care needs, including medication administration and G-Tube feeding
Physical Support Responsibilities
  • Lifting and transfer assistance
  • Assisting individuals in pool-based activities (waist-high water)
  • Standing, walking, bending, and participating in physical activities
  • Supporting volunteer and community activities that involve moderate physical work

Requirements:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors: Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or Gerontology OR be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Candidates who are NADD certified (National Association for the Dually Diagnosed) or are willing to be NADD certified will also be considered!
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Be or willing to be Covid-19 Vaccinated AND Boosted prior to employment
  • Personal or professional experience with people with intellectual disabilities and a physical disability is preferred
  • Be at least 18 years old
