About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Specialist to join our dynamic law practice. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and processing insurance claims efficiently and accurately. You will serve as a liaison between clients, insurance companies, and legal teams to ensure all claims are handled in compliance with applicable legal standards. Your expertise in insurance policies and claims procedures will be essential in advocating for our clients and helping ensure they receive the compensation they are entitled to. You will analyze complex documentation, prepare reports, and communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status and progress of claims.

Additionally, this role involves conducting investigations, gathering supporting documentation, and evaluating claim validity to support timely resolutions. By combining strong analytical skills with knowledge of insurance law and claims processes, you will play a key role in the success of our legal team and client outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position is in-office, not a remote opportunity. Working schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks. That’s right, off nights and weekends!

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate insurance claims submitted by clients for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information for claim processing
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance adjusters, carriers, and legal teams to resolve claim-related issues
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine claim validity and support documentation
  • Provide timely updates to insureds regarding claim status and progress
  • Prepare and submit legal documents, including releases and related claim materials
  • Monitor claim progress and maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding updates
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations, insurance guidelines, and company policies
  • Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of clerical experience in a law firm, court, or collections environment
  • Previous experience in insurance claims processing or a legal support role preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and claims regulations
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
