The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition care to patients based on their individual medical conditions, nutritional needs, and dietary restrictions. The Registered Dietitian works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to promote optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition assessment, intervention, education, and monitoring.

Registered Dietitian Essential Job Duties:- Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Completes nutrition assessments, reassessments, and documentation within established timeframes and according to patient needs.
- Develops and implements individualized nutrition care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practice.
- Identifies nutrition risks and communicates recommendations to providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provides nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and staff as appropriate.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient care.
- Maintains complete and timely documentation in accordance with professional, regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Participates in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness activities as assigned.
- Provides services onsite, remotely through approved technology, or through a hybrid work arrangement as operationally required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Current Indiana Dietitian Certification, or ability to obtain certification within a timeframe established by the organization and Indiana law. Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required.
- One (1) year of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Maintains continuing education and professional competency in accordance with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Indiana certification requirements, and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice.
