This is an exciting opportunity for a creative social media professional to help bring distinctive travel experiences to life online.
You’ll create engaging, visually compelling content designed to inspire travellers to discover unique destinations.
The role combines hands-on content creation, storytelling, scheduling, and performance analysis across social platforms.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how an established boutique travel offering connects with its audience.
A strong focus will be placed on short-form video, particularly reels, alongside accurate and compelling destination storytelling.
The ideal environment is flexible, remote, and suited to someone who can work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
As the role develops, there may also be opportunities to contribute to broader digital marketing initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Create and schedule 3–4 social media posts per day, with a strong emphasis on engaging reels and short-form content.
  • Write compelling captions and storytelling copy that brings destinations, experiences, and travel opportunities to life.
  • Follow and implement the monthly content calendar while maintaining the appropriate brand voice, objectives, and publishing cadence.
  • Develop content that resonates particularly well with mature travellers seeking quality, confidence, and distinctive travel experiences.
  • Review social media performance and identify top-performing posts, providing insights that can inform boosting and promotional decisions.
  • Ensure all published content is accurate and reliable, with particular attention to destination names, locations, and geographic references.
  • As the role evolves, potentially contribute to competitor research, website content updates, newsletters, and retargeting initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in social media management or content creation, ideally within travel, tourism, lifestyle, or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging reels and short-form video content, including the effective use of text overlays.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn travel experiences and destinations into compelling social content.
  • Good understanding of social media analytics, performance tracking, and using insights to improve future content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when communicating information about destinations, locations, and travel experiences.
  • Understanding of travel audiences, ideally including 50+ consumers who value high-quality and tailor-made experiences.
  • Strong visual instincts and an appreciation for content that is both inspiring and aligned with a clear brand identity.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a content schedule, and consistently deliver work in a fully remote environment.
  • Availability to work approximately 5–10 hours per week, aligned with Sydney, Australia (AEST) hours.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote and flexible working arrangement.
  • Part-time commitment of approximately 5–10 hours per week.
  • Opportunity to work with a boutique travel business focused on unique, tailor-made, and off-the-beaten-track experiences.
  • Creative ownership over social media content and storytelling.
  • Opportunity to help shape digital engagement with an established travel audience.
  • Potential to expand your responsibilities into broader areas of digital marketing as the role grows.
  • Work schedule aligned with Sydney/Australian Eastern Standard Time.
