Senior Field Applications Specialist - Immunohistochemistry

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Field Applications Specialist - Immunohistochemistry based in United States.

This field-based role provides technical applications expertise across automated instrumentation and reagents used in core histology laboratories.
You’ll support customers throughout the region with installations, evaluations, qualifications, optimization, training, and post-purchase applications support.
Working closely with commercial, technical service, applications, and product teams, you’ll help resolve technical challenges and strengthen customer outcomes.
The role combines hands-on laboratory knowledge with customer-facing technical consulting and regional business support.
You’ll operate primarily remotely from your home while traveling extensively across the assigned South Florida territory.
Your work will directly contribute to regional sales, profitability, product adoption, and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide in-field technical applications support for current and next-generation automated histology instrumentation, reagents, and related solutions.
  • Support regional sales objectives for instrumentation and consumables by partnering with commercial teams and customers throughout the sales and post-sales lifecycle.
  • Conduct basic instrument installations, evaluations, qualifications, and optimization activities, with supervision, mentorship, or consultation as appropriate.
  • Deliver post-purchase applications support and customer training to promote effective product utilization and adoption.
  • Investigate technical applications issues in collaboration with Technical Service, Applications Technical Leads, Applications Management, and relevant global product teams.
  • Document and respond to product-related technical reports and customer issues, coordinating appropriate follow-up actions and training.
  • Build trusted technical relationships with customers and serve as an applications resource within the assigned territory.
  • Support customer evaluations and product implementations by translating laboratory workflows and requirements into effective applications solutions.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders regarding customer needs, technical challenges, product performance, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to regional sales and profitability goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage a highly travel-intensive territory while maintaining accurate documentation, professional customer engagement, and timely follow-through.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent relevant education.
  • 1–3 years of histology laboratory experience in a clinical, research, industrial, or comparable laboratory environment.
  • HT or HTL certification required.
  • Working understanding of the histology marketplace and relevant laboratory workflows, products, or applications.
  • Ability to understand technical applications and translate laboratory requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues and collaborate effectively with Technical Service, Applications, Product, and commercial teams.
  • Strong organization, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based and remote environment while managing multiple customer priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Willingness to work extensively with customers in laboratory environments and adapt to varying technical and operational requirements.
Benefits:
  • $85,000–$115,000 annual salary range, based on the employer's stated compensation range at the time of posting.
