The Finance Analyst will report to the Head of Finance.

Job Overview

The Financial Analyst provides full cycle accounting support across accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card reconciliation, and client reconciliation, ensuring the finance function runs smoothly during a 12 month maternity leave coverage period, with the possibility of extension.

Success in this role looks like accurate, timely reconciliations and dependable follow through on recurring deadlines and requests from the finance and project teams. This position is critical to maintaining financial accuracy and continuity while the permanent team member is on leave.

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 CAD.
*Please note this is a 12 month maternity leave coverage, with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage full cycle accounts receivable, including new client setup, client invoicing, billing reconciliation, Statement of work reviews as needed, sales order creation and project setup.
  • Manage full cycle accounts payable, including contractor PO, timesheet and invoice verification and processing, new vendor setup and verification, staff expense report review and approvals.
  • Media invoice coding and reconciliation.
  • Source document filing
  • Complete credit card transaction posting and reconciliations.
  • Perform client project and media reconciliation as needed.
  • Provide general support for the finance function on an adhoc basis, acting as backup to other finance team members for vacation coverage.
  • Complete monthly accounting duties in a timely and accurate manner to ensure monthly cut off deadlines are consistently met.
  • Manage work load to align with deadline driven periods and take ownership of designated tasks to ensure accuracy and timelines are met

Qualifications

  • Highly reliable with strong attention to detail. This is one of the most important qualities for this role
  • NetSuite experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required, as a large portion of reconciliation work is done in Google and MS Office
  • Solid finance background with 2-3 years of hands on, full cycle experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and credit card and client reconciliation
  • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines independently
  • Open to leveraging AI to increase efficiency where possible.
  • Comfortable working in a fixed term contract capacity and ramping up quickly to provide seamless coverage
