Position Summary
We're looking for a Strategic Account Manager to own our most important client relationships: a defined group of Tier A+ accounts. This is a senior, relationship-driven role. You're accountable for the long-term health, retention, and growth of a small number of our highest-value accounts, and for making sure Catapult's services stay useful to how those clients actually operate day to day. Success is measured by net revenue retention and by how deeply embedded Catapult becomes in each account's ongoing operations.
What You'll Do
Client Relationship Management & Strategic Engagement
- Serve as the primary strategic contact for a portfolio of key client accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels of client organizations, including HR, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
- Conduct regular account touchpoints, business reviews, and renewal discussions.
- Act as a trusted advisor by helping clients maximize the value of available services and resources.
- Develop and present recommendations that align with evolving client needs.
Account Retention & Growth
- Drive long-term account retention through proactive engagement and relationship management.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop solutions and proposals.
- Lead contract renewal discussions and negotiate multi-year agreements when appropriate.
- Convert project-based work into broader strategic partnerships when aligned with client needs.
Account Health & Business Planning
- Monitor client engagement, utilization, and account health metrics.
- Identify early warning signs of disengagement and implement retention strategies.
- Develop strategic account plans supported by data and business insights.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, account activity, and renewal timelines.
- Provide leadership with account updates and growth recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, and subject matter experts to support client success.
- Participate in account strategy discussions and opportunity planning.
- Support account-specific campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure visibility into account health and opportunities across internal teams.
