Central Processing Tech at tgmctest – Houma, Louisiana

Responsible for: Decontaminating, Assembly and Sterilization process for all instruments, procedure trays and patient care equipment for the Medical Center; operations of all processing equipment; inventorying and sterilizing linen items needed for the Medical Center and sterile technique.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least two years experience in a Central Service Department, Surgery or equivalent (Preferred).
• Must have a General knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies and decontamination and sterilization techniques.
• Good organizational skills.
• Must be able to stand for long period of time; required to do some walking and lifting (17 to 25 pounds.)
