We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Manual Machinist to join and grow in the PPG organization. The CNC Programmer-Machinist will directly support Tooling, Production, Wax, and Metrology by maintaining, repairing, and creating the necessary tooling and CNC programming to reduce and eliminate production delays.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in operating a manual mill
  • Program CNC equipment as needed
  • Manufacture new and repair tooling as needed
  • Verify tooling and fixturing meet quality requirements
  • Maintain organized workspace
  • Other related duties as requested

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience operating 3 axis CNC milling equipment is preferred
  • Working software knowledge of Bobcad or MasterCam
  • Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes
  • Ability to understand GD&T requirements
  • Basic shop math
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team Player

Compensation

  • Compensation for this role will vary based on industry specific experience
