Server at Cartersville Country Club Inc – Cartersville, Georgia

Cartersville Country Club is in need of qualified candidates for serving positions in a hospitality driven environment.

Required Duties:

• Provide immediate attention to all Members and their guests.
• Learn and describe daily specials to Members and their guests.
• Learn and describe menu items to Members and their guests. Be able to answer questions about the menu(s) and offer suggestions when they are requested.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests. Closely monitor the kitchen so food is delivered to guests quickly upon completion.
• Check on Members and guests in appropriate increments, ensuring food and beverage is as expected. Replenishes items as needed.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and taste tests, as required.
• Ensures the wait hall is organized.
• Looks for duties to complete during down time.
• Ensure accuracy for member charge, check, and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Learns and follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Learns and follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system a plus, but training will be available.

Compensation:

• Starting at $9 - $11 per hour plus tips. Pay will be determined based on experience.
