HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?You will use your lived experience to support and empower youth on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-advocacy. As a Youth Peer Support Specialist, you will work directly with youth and young adults—both individually and in group settings—to promote positive physical, emotional, and social well-being.
You will deliver curriculum-based education focused on prevention, recovery, and life skills such as communication, stress management, and self-esteem. Through outreach and community engagement, you will play a key role in preventing youth opioid use and encouraging positive decision-making.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- High School Diploma or GED required and 4+ years of related experience, OR
- Associate’s Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 years of related experience, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 years of related experience
- Will consider peer support certification in replacement of above education criteria
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish language is required
- Active Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and ability to show proof of registration/insurance
- Must be 21 years of age to drive
- Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance within 60 days of employment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements
- Must pass background screening prior to start
- Ability to work in an active environment
- Carry out activities in annual work plan and agency’s strategic plan
- Ability to travel as needed based on Program Needs
