Location: Squamish, British Columbia
Setting: Independent Living & Assisted Living
Position Type: Part Time, Casual 8am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday each week

Shannon Falls Retirement Residence is seeking a part-time Receptionist/Clerk to join our team, serving as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. If you’re passionate about making a difference and creating a safe, welcoming environment, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and assist residents, families, visitors, and staff with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries
- Perform clerical duties: filing, word processing, sorting/distributing mail
- Manage office supplies and equipment (printers, fax, photocopiers)
- Handle residents’ trust accounts, payments, reconciliations, and bank deposits
- Maintain and update essential lists (emergency contacts, resident lists)
- Book visitor suites, manage keys, and process related payments
- Support shipping/receiving and restock supplies as needed
- Keep accurate records for resident statistics, trust accounts, and petty cash
- Participate in meetings, take minutes, and support training/orientation
- Advocate for residents’ needs and maintain confidentiality
- Assist with accounts payable, audits, and monthly payment slips
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards
What You Bring:
- Grade 12 education (recent related experience an asset)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Organizational and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform job duties (lifting up to 30 lbs, sitting, walking, bending, etc.)
- Commitment to resident safety and confidentiality
- Criminal Records check required
