Overtown Youth Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Certified Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for the care, development, and education of students enrolled at the center. As a Non-Certified Teacher, you will assist in planning and supervising daily classroom activities, providing educational support to students of various ages, and ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.

What You Would Do:

• Act as a liaison between Overtown Youth Center and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (DCPS).
• Teach a variety of subjects to students of different age groups, adapting lessons to meet their diverse needs.
• Plan and implement engaging classroom activities, lesson plans, and developmental activities to support students' academic and personal growth.
• Work closely with at-risk youth, providing the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
• Document student progress, including attendance, test scores, and other achievements, to track their development.
• Assist in organizing and chaperoning field trips and exposure activities.
• Collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and program staff to ensure the success of students.
• Supervise students during dismissal, including bus transportation duties.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Participate in regular meetings with the lead teacher to discuss student progress and program development.
• Engage in professional development workshops and training to continuously improve your skills and effectiveness as an educator.
• Contribute to the center's quality improvement efforts, helping to refine and enhance the educational programs offered.
