Job Overview:

Assumes responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and/or biochemical tests, as well as more complex procedures on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimens that assist physicians in the diagnosis of clinical management of patients, recognizing results or problems that require referral to Supervisor, Manager and or Pathologist. Performs additional tasks as requested by Chairman of Pathology or his/her designee,

Qualifications:

Required:

• Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or related science
• Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques, which would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program
• Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology, such as ASCP preferred
