🚀 The Role: Certified Orthotist

The Certified Orthotist plays a vital role in evaluating patients, designing and fitting custom orthotic and prosthetic devices to meet individual medical needs. This position involves direct patient care, collaboration with healthcare providers, and hands-on fabrication to deliver effective, personalized treatment solutions.

🔍 What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree, or Masters Certificate in Orthotics and certification by the American Board for Certification (ABC) as an Orthotist or Certification in Orthotics from the Board of Certification (BOC)

  • Excellent communicator (verbal, written, and interpersonal)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments

  • Passion for customer service—you love helping people

  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Evaluate patients’ orthotic or prosthetic needs through clinical assessment and consultation

  • Fabricate, measure, cast, and fit orthotic/prosthetic devices based on physician prescriptions

  • Educate patients on how to wear, care for, and manage their devices

  • Determine the most appropriate manufacturer or in-house fabrication materials for each custom solution

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, fittings, and treatments

  • Stay current with product knowledge and clinical skills via seminars and ongoing education

  • Requisition necessary supplies and manage department inventory (mins/maxs, cycle counts)

  • Assist with marketing efforts to support department growth

  • Communicate effectively with customers, physicians, referral sources, and staff

  • Travel as needed for home visits or off-site fittings
