Adena- Commercial Carpenter

Summary:

The Carpenter will provide professional services while constructing, repairing building frameworks and structures, and interior finishing with a focus on details.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Installs doors, frames and hardware
2. Forms and pours concrete
3. Lays out and frames walls with wood or metal studs
4. Hangs and finishes drywall
5. Installs wall protection including FRP board, crash rails, corner guards, etc.
6. Installs acoustic ceilings
7. Installs cabinets, trim and other finish carpentry
8. Lays out and installs in-wall blocking
9. Installs roof blocking
10. Hangs toilet partitions and installs restroom accessories
11. Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment
12. Other duties as assigned

Adena- Commercial Carpenter

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. 5+ years carpenter experience
3. Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform carpenter duties
4. 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
5. Ability to read building blueprints
6. Ability to utilize pertinent math skills
7. Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment along with safe use of the same
8. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
9. Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home
10. Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders
11. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
12. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
13. Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
