Core Assembler at Ericson Manufacturing Co – Willoughby, Ohio

General Purpose:

Performs electronic or electro-mechanical production assembly operations to build up and produce components by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
• Works with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity.
• Read and understand production/assembly instructions, parts lists, diagrams, verbal instruction and notes to assemble, wire and install a variety of components.
• Identify and select components to be integrated into assembly units.
• Safely operates any equipment needed to perform job.
• Utilize production job schedules, and confer with supervisors/leads, to determine work priorities.
• Refer to engineering documentation such as CAD drawings and manufacturing procedures.
• Record production data such labor time and quantities using ERP system.
• Inform supervisors /leads of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
• Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and workstations on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

• Works with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity.
• Must be able to read and understand production/assembly instructions, parts lists, diagrams, verbal instruction and notes to assemble, wire and install a variety of components.

• High school education or equivalent and one year related assembly experience.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to identify and select components to be integrated into assembly units.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
