About This Position
Position Highlights:
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual interested in translational immunotherapy. The lab focuses on understanding the function of T-cells within the tumor microenvironment of solid tumors. Strategies to leverage anti-tumor T-cell function are of particular interest for translational potential as we seek to optimize adoptive cell therapy for patients with advanced disease.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Demonstrates proficiency in basic immunology techniques, including flow cytometry, T cell culture, and ELISA.
· Is experienced in culturing mammalian cell lines and primary mammalian cells.
· Has experience processing human samples (i.e. blood and tumor tissue)
· Has experience working with mouse models of cancer, but not required.
· Prior research experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
· The employee will assist the PI and other lab members by performing research and experimentation following established protocols.
· The employee will also be required to maintain detailed records, follow established protocols, and perform basic data analysis for presentation.
· Takes inventory and helps with ordering stock laboratory supplies under appropriate supervision.
Credentials and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· Hands-on research experience.
· Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments and manage time efficiently.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
