District Manager at MWS Enterprises, Inc. – Buffalo, New York

District Manager oversees operations in the Yellow Goose Markets, Arrow Mart Convenience Stores, and/or Minitiz in their region. The employee will supervisor the managers in their region. Applicant should be willing to work in a diverse, fast paced, 24 hour retail environment. Comfort in hiring and recruiting store managers is essential. Ability to communicate effectively with direct reports, as well as, customers is a necessity. Applicant should have an understanding of convenience store operations, managing inventories, budgets, and retail accounting.

Duties:

• Serves as a point of contact for customer service issues in the district. Responds quickly and effectively to all customer inquiries.

• Responsible for district compliance: customer service, sales, expenses, safety, inventory, and associate turnover.

• Conducting store visits to company standards. This includes administration, tracking, and follow-up for all visits.

• Ensures all company standards are executed

• Keep payroll hours within budget

• Ensures a safe, accident-free environment for all customers and associates

• Maintains compliance to all state, local, and federal regulations.

• Demonstrates and trains to loss prevention awareness programs

• Meets company shrink goals

• Recruits, hires, trains, and develops managers

• Must be able to perform all duties of cashier, assistant manager, and store manager

Requirements:

Candidate must be willing to travel. Previous experience in the convenience store industry is highly preferred. Candidate should also possess basic computer skills.
