We are currently seeking an experienced:

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER

Full Time, Days

JOB SUMMARY:

• Assists in implementing effective business analytics practices that drive improved decision-making, efficiency and performance.
• Communicate with business users to determine specific requirements for BI reports and business intelligence solutions. Determines what information is needed and defines how to present it effectively.
• Partner with business leaders to develop innovative ways to deliver dashboards, reports and queries using tools such as Python and Microsoft’s BI and reporting technology stack (Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory pipelines, Power Apps, Power Automate, SSAS, SSRS).
• Collaborate with members of the development team to develop reports and advanced analytics using data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Create and maintain documentation including requirements, designers, user manuals and data dictionaries.
• Can work and plan independently at the Task, User Story, and Feature level in Azure DevOps, or comparable development environment.
• Provides ongoing maintenance for BID systems, reports, and data.
• Provides customer service by communicating with end users, identifying user needs, and requests, researching trends, software, evaluating environments, BID related applications and providing related information to users.
• Assess user’s information requirements by interviewing affected agency personnel. Determines what information is needed and defines how to present it effectively.
• Design system components such as forms, reports, screen formats, files, and databases.
• Performs work during emergency/disaster situations.
• Serves as a BI expert to staff by assessing needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Documents work in Azure DevOps. Additionally, they are able to actively look for undocumented processes, applications, and integrations, then document them or seek help.
• Ability to identify and seek out work that needs to be done, and then assist with planning out that work.
• Ability to use Azure GIT version control.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline, required
• Minimum of 2 years’ Business Intelligence Development experience, required.
• Proficient level knowledge of T-SQL development.
• Proficient level knowledge of BI related development methods and techniques.
• Proficient level knowledge of data structures.
• Proficient level knowledge of database management.
• Proficient level knowledge of Customer service techniques.
• Proficient level of knowledge of GIT version control

Skill in:

• Managing large data processing systems.
• Researching BI topics via the Internet and other on-line sources.
• Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
• Assists in preparation of long-range data management strategies.
