Breast Center RN (3) at Swedish American – Rockford, Illinois

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process and specific specialty knowledge and expertise, provides high quality Nursing care for patients in a variety of Outpatient locations. Implements physician and /or advanced practice nurse orders for assigned patients in compliance with Patient Services Department policy and other regulatory agency requirements. Encourages family involvement in process ensuring continuity of care. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Program. At least one year of clinical experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing required. Formal training in specialty area preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current RN licensure from the State of Illinois. BI-annual CPR certification required.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner.
