Job DescriptionOur engineers work to create technology that solves real-world problems in the crowdsourced delivery space. As a front end Software Engineer on the Internal Operations team, you'll focus on production support and optimization of our existing internal technologies in a fast-paced, agile environment. Our ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver who is eager to learn and grow in their career.
What You'll Do
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable, and performant code
- Lead a project to convert a medium-to-large Rails application UI to React
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Operations teams to improve performance of existing systems
- Work in a fast-paced environment where we are frequently iterating to support the needs of our users, enhancing our apps and redefining feature roadmaps
- Plan and execute on short-term and long-term engineering goals individually and within the greater technology team
- 3-5 years of software development experience
- Strong React coding skills
- Ruby on Rails coding skills preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work closely with UX designers and other internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify and resolve application issues
- Experience writing clean, stable and maintainable code in production environments
- A willingness to admit what you don't know, and learn what you need to learn quickly
The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $105,000 – $112,000 per year plus bonus. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
