Now Hiring: Experienced Home Health Speech Therapist
Location: Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our dedicated home health team. In this role, you will provide personalized speech therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing abilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals

• Deliver high-quality speech therapy services to improve communication and swallowing functions

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and care strategies

• Monitor and document patient progress, revising treatment plans as necessary

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and all regulatory standards

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, patient-centered care

• Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology program

• Active speech therapy license in the applicable state

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (home health or SNF preferred)

• Proficient in conducting assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and clinical judgment

• Experience with OASIS documentation preferred

• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Kinnser/WellSky or Homecare Homebase is a plus

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required
