Authorization Coordinator in 355 Bard Avenue Staten Island, New York at Richmond University Medical Center

The Authorization Coordinator is responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for special procedures, medication, and other tests requiring insurance approval. Maintains a database of requests and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Coordinates insurance benefits to obtain the necessary authorization for procedures/medications.
• Data collection and analysis of outcomes related to approvals and denials.
• Ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to perform/present data analysis.
• Ability to utilize a patient electronic medical record/ hospital clinical information system.
• High School Diploma Required
• Coding Certificate Preferred
