Job Purpose: As a Co-Occurring Disorders Counselor at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in order to provide direct service time in professional level counseling and education to adult residential clients.

Job Functions

• Providing counseling as needed
• Assessing clients for appropriate levels of care in accordance with ASAM criteria
• Collecting and preparing client information during stabilization and evaluation period
• Interfacing clinically with all Aspire clinical programs
• Demonstrating working knowledge regarding Baker Act, Marchman Act, Crisis Management, DSM IV and impairment levels
• Participating in Clinical Treatment Teams
• Working when needed to provide 24/7 coverage
• Adhering to DC&F, SAMH, CARF and other outside funding sources and/or accrediting agencies requirements and guidelines
• Receiving incoming calls and making appropriate referrals
• Assisting in providing training to new employees
• Ensuring the timely completion of SA&MH outcome measures, completing all required paperwork
• Participating in both verbal and de-escalation of a stressful situation
• Utilizing required technology to communicate effectively
• Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

• Level II Background clearance
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
• Master Degree Required
