Job Description
The Sr. Director of Education & Clinical Excellence provides strategic and operational leadership for organization-wide educational programs rooted in research, innovation, and scholarship. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Sr. Director will work collaboratively with clinical and support service leaders, Human Resources, the Quality & Safety team, as well as Compliance and Risk management to ensure all care team members are able to deliver competent care in a safe and equitable manner. This position will provide ongoing evaluation of all educational programs, making necessary changes as needed to support the strategic goals of the organization. This includes evaluating programs to ensure workforce development needs are being met, quality metrics are being met, and that the education culture is focused on clinical excellence. The incumbent will work with administrative and clinical leaders, providers, and staff to provide an evidence-based leadership and operational framework to achieve optimal patient experience, quality, and safety results driven by high levels of employee engagement. This incumbent will effectively track and interpret key patient experience data, employee engagement date, staff retention data, and quality outcomes data as education programs are developed and modified to meet the needs of our employees, patients, and organizational goals. The Sr. Director will work collaboratively with academic partners and State agencies to support efforts of workforce growth and development.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in addition to a Master’s Degree (MSN, MHA, MBA)
- Doctoral-level degree in relevant field (DNP, PhD, EdD, DHA, etc.) required or proof of active enrollment.
Minimum Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in healthcare education, healthcare quality, and/or clinical leadership related role.
- Experience in educational curriculum and content development.
- Experience in data analysis and report preparation.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current RN Licensure.
- Healthcare related specialty certification*
* or obtained within 12 months of hire date

Pay Range = $122,000 - $195,000
