Assessment skills for planning and following through with direct patient care. Responsible and accountable for the care given to the patient, obtaining and documenting complete medical history and vital signs. Responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care. Responsible and accountable to know and understand OZH’s vision, mission, values, standards, policies and procedures.

• Prepare patients for visit with Psychiatrist/APRN – includes vital signs, AIMS assessment, education assessment, treatment plan, medication reconciliation, education for patient
• Lab duties – includes phlebotomy, waived testing and EKGs
• Field phone calls from patients and pharmacies for refills and patient concerns, communicate with Psychiatrist/APRN and document
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for medical procedures (i.e. sleep studies) and/or medications
• Process referrals to other providers
