Job Summary

Prepare the patient for and assist the physician with the examination. Obtain vital signs and other preliminary information prior to the patient examination. Assist the physician with the examination. Perform routine office testing as ordered. Prepare and administer medications in injectable, aerosol, and other forms. Document appropriately. Receive, process, and respond to mail, prescription refills, and other inquiries promptly.

Education:

Completion of an accredited school of Nursing, Practical Nursing, or Medical Assisting.

Experience:

One (1) year of experience in an office or medically related environment is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills are required.

Licenses/Certificates:

Must possess an Illinois LPN license or AAMA Certification or AMT Registration required within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association required upon hire.
