Position Summary

The staff registered nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees

Job Responsibilities

• Documents a physical assessment of patient.
• Communicates with patients, families and/or significant others in an effort to individualize patient’s plan of care to them.
• Verifies that physician orders are transcribed properly and carried out properly.

Education/Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a professional nurse by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• A BSN degree is desirable.
• Successful completion of the Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
• Obtains and maintains current certification in BLS, and other certifications as required in specialty areas.
