Machine Operator at Valtir LLC – Lima, Ohio

Valtir is hiring Laborers to support our Lima, OH facility by performing labor intensive duties in the manufacturing and processing of highway safety products. As a Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to cut, bend, straighten and form steel parts as specified by blueprints. Operators will be working in hot, cold, dirty and noisy environments while wearing all required PPE.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM – 2:30PM
Pay: $21.00

$3,000 sign on bonus. $1,000 paid out at 30 days, $1,000 paid out at 90 days & $1,000 paid out at 180 days.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

Lay-up sequence and templates

Perform a variety of physically strenuous tasks as directed to maintain efficient production in the department

Read blueprints, adjust settings for thickness of appropriate steel types

Maintain a clean work environment through 5S activities

Lift/carry materials of different weights throughout the shift

May use overhead cranes and/or forklift

Check tools and equipment in observance of safety regulations

Other duties as assigned

Working Environment:

Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.

The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.

Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.

Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of industrial experience

Ability to read blueprints

Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment in that area including but no limited to: press break, shears, punch press, saw drill press or roller

Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently

Ability to lift 55lbs to 100lbs continuously throughout shift

Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships
