Maintenance Technician at The Caleb Group – Lowell, Massachusetts

Apartment community in Lowell seeking a hands on and energetic maintenance worker. The ideal candidate should be organized, self-motivated, dependable and have a proven track record of results. Under direction, will assist in the on-going maintenance and upkeep of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. Must be willing to work overtime and perform snow removal as well as be available for on-call coverage.

Position Responsibilities:

· clean vacant units, interior spaces, and grounds

· ensure that vacant units are turned over in a timely fashion

· grounds keeping, landscaping, and snow removal

· paint building interiors and associated prep-work

· miscellaneous carpentry repairs

· minor appliance repairs

· repair or replace plumbing fixtures

· change locks

Full and comprehensive benefits, including Medical and Dental, Time Off, and 401(k) with Match. Salary will be based upon experience but between $24 and $27 per hour.

Education and Experience:

· high school diploma or equivalent

· willingness to perform any task that is required (i.e., janitorial, gardening, etc.)

· familiarity with maintenance related software, including Yardi Mobile, a plus

· good work safety habits

· good communication skills

· ability to interact with a diverse range of people, Spanish speaking a plus!
