As NPR’s flagship member station in Southern California for more than 30 years and a community service of Santa Monica College, KCRW is the next generation of public media.How You’ll Make An Impact The Individual Giving Officer supports the growth and sustainability of KCRW’s mid-level giving program by managing a high-volume portfolio focused on retention, recurring giving, and donor qualification.This role manages approximately 600–900 donors contributing $1,200 and above annually, with a strong emphasis on monthly and recurring supporters. The Individual Giving Officer executes personalized yet scalable outreach strategies designed to strengthen donor commitment, increase renewal rates, and identify advancement opportunities.Working closely with the Senior Individual Giving Officer, this role implements engagement strategies that deepen donor connection to KCRW and surface prospects ready for higher-level cultivation. The Individual Giving Officer plays an important role in building a sustainable donor pipeline and ensuring a strong donor experience.Here’s What You’ll Do:
Manage and steward a portfolio of 600–900 donors with emphasis on retention and recurring gift growth.Execute qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship outreach via phone, written communication, event engagement, and selective in-person meetings.Implement renewal and upgrade strategies developed in collaboration with the Senior Individual Giving Officer and Director.Identify donors with potential for advancement and support thoughtful handoff into higher-level portfolios.Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation and portfolio tracking.Generate portfolio reports and assist with revenue forecasting and performance monitoring.Support Development events, including select evenings and weekends.Here’s What You’ll Bring:
2–4+ years of fundraising or membership experience.Demonstrated success contributing to revenue goals.Strong communication skills and comfort with donor outreach.Detail-oriented and highly organized.Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.Enthusiasm for public media, journalism, and cultural programming.
