Job Overview

Secure Restoration is hiring a Mitigation Technician to support emergency restoration and cleanup services for residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for a restoration professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in helping properties recover from water, fire, mold, and storm damage. This position plays a critical role during emergency loss events and requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Some weekend and on-call availability is expected during high-volume events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform emergency mitigation services including water extraction, demolition, drying, and cleanup

  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers

  • Take moisture readings and document drying progress accurately

  • Assist with fire, smoke, and mold remediation activities

  • Execute controlled demolition and debris removal as required

  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices

  • Communicate professionally with property owners, occupants, and team members onsite

  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles

  • Accurately document work performed using job management or mobile software

  • Assist Project Managers with site assessments and scope execution

  • Respond to on-call emergency losses during high-volume weather or disaster events

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on mitigation or restoration experience

  • IICRC WRT certification required; ASD, AMRT, or FSRT certifications preferred

  • Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

  • Working knowledge of mitigation tools, drying equipment, and restoration methods

  • Comfortable using mobile apps or job tracking software

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and safely enter damaged structures
