About This Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the seamless operation of our fast-paced food service establishment. This pivotal role combines leadership, management, and culinary expertise to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and operational efficiency. As an energetic and motivated leader, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant functions, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold brand standards
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and consistency across all menu items
- Oversee POS systems and cash handling
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering, and waste reduction strategies
- Lead staff training initiatives focused on food safety, food handling, and service excellence
- Support shift management by coordinating schedules, managing labor costs, and resolving operational issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Assist in budgeting efforts and monitor financial performance to meet operational goals
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and development
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus
- Strong background in kitchen management, culinary techniques, and food preparation processes
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team management, training & development, and performance coaching
- Proficiency with POS systems, experience with cash handling is essential
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff effectively
- Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards
- Hospitality management experience preferred
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Familiarity with budgeting, food production, catering services, bar operations, and overall restaurant management
