Environmental Services Tech at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to join our team in Environmental Services. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the Department: Coordinating daily housekeeping services to assure that the hospital maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. Following proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. Environmental Services ensures that Infection Control and Universal Precautions are maintained.

A typical day will include: Cleaning all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, office, clinical areas, operating rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors.

• Ensuring all areas are sanitized according to hospital 7 Step Process.
• Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notifying supervisor of necessary repairs.
• Demonstrating ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures.
• Assisting patients and guests when necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skills: Service
• Licensure/Certification: N/A
• Physical: Prolong periods of standing and walking; ability to read and write documentation; Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently.

The position is: Full Time, Evenings 5:00p.m-1:30a.m
