About This Position
Position Summary
Responsible for the preparation and sale of C’Dubs Subs and La Bahia Mexican outlets. Each Team Member will be able to prepare the items ordered to the guest’s satisfaction and completing the order at the POS system.
Essential Functions
- Provide excellent guest service.
- Safe preparation of a variety of foods for the guests per department procedures, supervisor’s instructions, and per health code compliance.
- Maintains clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
- Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
- Helps with food prep and stocking of the area.
- Informs supervisor when supplies are getting low, or equipment is not working properly.
- Assists cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
- Receives and stores food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Accurate cash handling and POS knowledge.
- Maintain health code regulations.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
- Performs general upkeep to designated area.
- Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in program processes or services.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
WORKERS IN THIS POSITION MUST BE 16 OR OLDER

Education
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
Certificates & Licenses
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Must have a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
Must obtain VIP (Visibly Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of the start date.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.
Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
