Nexus Family Healing is hiring a dynamic Program Manager for the Aspen House Shelter in Mendota Heights, MN!

The Aspen House is a community-based facility for teens in Dakota and Washington counties who temporarily need a safe place to live. Youth in our care have private bedrooms and access to mental health and educational services during their stay and is staffed 24/7. We serve displaced youth ages 11-18 and pride ourselves on being a restraint-free facility. Aspen House not only provides temporary housing but also incorporates mental health assessments and services, recreational activities, educational instruction, coordination with outside supports, stabilization services, and on-going connections with family support systems.

Schedule, Location & Pay:

  • Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday day shift schedule with flexibility
  • On call as needed
  • $57,000-63,000 per year salary, exempt
  • Onsite at 2031 Victoria Rd S, Mendota Heights, MN

Position Summary:

The Residential Program Manager supervises the daily operations of residential programming, providing leadership, direction, and oversight to Milieu Supervisors and other staff. This role provides communication, planning, collaboration, and operational effectiveness that support client treatment services.

Responsibilities:

Treatment Program Oversight
  • Ensure proper staff-to-client ratios for safety, compliance, and effective treatment.
  • Manage daily schedules, family visits, events, and transportation for clients.
  • Identify and address program risks with long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve treatment strategies.
  • Support staff in using trauma-informed, family-centered practices.
Client Care & Planning
  • Participate in client evaluations and admissions.
  • Ensure smooth transitions and readiness for new clients.
  • Oversee implementation of care plans and behavior strategies.
  • Monitor treatment delivery for consistency and effectiveness.
Program Operations
  • Contribute to risk management and quality improvement efforts.
  • Help develop and maintain program policies and procedures.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Assist in hiring and staffing decisions.
  • Ensure adequate coverage and participate in on-call duties.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Report incidents as required.
  • Lead onboarding, training, and coaching for staff development.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in a residential treatment facility or similar setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulatory and home office driving requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a DHS background check.
  • Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
  • Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
