Assistant Trainer (Houston, TX)

We’re looking for an Assistant Trainer to support the development of our Houston team from the ground up. This role is critical in ensuring every new hire is set up for success — from their first shift through full integration into the café.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in training new hires on bar, service, and operational standards
• Reinforce consistency in drink quality and customer experience
• Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and coaching opportunities
• Help maintain training materials and processes
• Provide hands-on coaching and feedback during live shifts
What We’re Looking For
• Strong barista experience with high standards for quality
• Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing others
• Clear communicator with patience and attention to detail
• Ability to lead by example and reinforce expectations
• Organized and proactive mindset
Compensation & Training Pay
• Base Pay: $24/ hr flate rate for trainer shifts, which are typically 8 hours per week, but this is subject to change with business need. This position is combined with a Shift Lead role. $11 per hour for Lead shifts + tips
• Training Differential: +$9/hour while in training
• This ensures competitive earnings during the pre-opening training period
Training & Travel Requirement (Important)
• 3-week paid training in San Antonio prior to Houston store opening
• Must be available for travel during this time
