Medical Assistant II at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Health System is seeking a medical assistant to work in our Pulmonary clinic. The MA will provide care to patients under the care of a physician. The job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the nursing staff and physicians to establish care, :contribe to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; assessment of patients' daily living needs, documentation, and returning /answering phone calls in a timely and professional manner. She will assist with preautherization, schedule tests and procedures. They will work closely with insurance companies. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 pm.
