The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About the role
The Network Administrator is accountable for the overall stability and performance of the NMHC network
supporting the Clinical and Financial applications by installing, analyzing, maintaining, optimizing and
monitoring network hardware, software, peripherals and communication links supporting NMHC
infrastructure. Network Admin works closely with the System Admin to ensuring high levels of data
quality and availability. They will diagnose, resolve and document network problems in a timely and
accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support when required. Network Administrators will
administer network security measures such as firewalls, SSO, antivirus software, monitoring tools, mobile
device strategy, BYOD policy and disaster recovery. Support and ensure availability of vital corporate
applications. They will also provide backups and recovery processes and help resolve a wide range of
technical customer issues.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or related subject, or equivalent experience preferred, supplemented with one or more courses in current technology. Active Directory, Microsoft solutions (OS, O365 etc.) Cloud, IT Security (firewall, antivirus, encryptions), Server Administration, Virtualization, Wireless Networking.
- Previous experience of 3 to 5 years as an Administrator on a small to medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers, desktop and mobile device implementation and management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and products.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DNS, DHCP, DMZ, Firewall Experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of setting up and configuring Active Directory, domain controllers, LDAP.
- Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security software and internet security encryption concepts, including SSL.
- Demonstrates knowledge utilizing cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to administer a 200 + node network including firewalls.
- Demonstrated knowledge of with NAS/SAN setup and configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and scanners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of wireless network, installing, configuring and maintaining.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must demonstrate the initiative to take ownership of large projects and work independently.
