About This Position
Host Responsibilities:
Greeting guests as they enter and placing them on a waiting list as necessary.
Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
Managing table rotation to ensure an even flow of service between servers.
Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and responding to guest questions.
Engaging with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service.
Responding to guest concerns and assisting in resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area.
Having a working knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies.
Assisting other front-of-house positions as needed.
Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Busser Responsibilities:
Clearing and cleaning tables promptly after guests leave.
Resetting tables quickly and accurately according to restaurant standards.
Assisting in maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining room, lobby, patio, and service areas.
Refilling water glasses and assisting guests with basic needs when appropriate.
Supporting servers by removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware during service.
Assisting with stocking service stations, including napkins, silverware, glassware, to-go supplies, and condiments.
Helping keep floors, chairs, booths, and surrounding guest areas clean and presentable.
Taking dirty dishes, trash, and recycling to the appropriate areas.
Assisting with opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
Helping create a clean, organized, and efficient environment for both guests and staff.
Food Runner Responsibilities:
Delivering food to tables quickly, accurately, and with a sense of urgency.
Ensuring all plates are presented correctly before leaving the kitchen.
Communicating clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate food delivery.
Identifying each dish as it is delivered to guests.
Confirming guests have everything they need once food has been dropped off.
Assisting in correcting mistakes or communicating guest needs to the server or manager promptly.
Helping organize and maintain expo and food running areas during service.
Running sauces, dressings, utensils, and other necessary items to tables as needed.
Monitoring the dining room and assisting the service team during busy periods.
Maintaining knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and plate presentations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
Ability to stay organized and multitask during busy shifts.
Performs high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Able to lift, carry, and maneuver trays, dishes, bus tubs, and other restaurant items safely.
Able to frequently bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly throughout the restaurant.
Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification when needed.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, servers, kitchen staff, and managers.
Able to work in a busy restaurant environment while maintaining professionalism.
Basic knowledge of restaurant service standards preferred.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
Restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, preferred.
