Job Title: Wellness Center Attendant
Department: Wellness Center

Status: Part-time
Reports To: Wellness Center Manager

Position Summary

The Wellness Center Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming, clean, and organized environment for all members and guests. This role provides front desk support, assists with memberships and payments, maintains the cleanliness of the gym, and offers basic guidance to members regarding equipment use and wellness center policies.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Sign up new members and accurately enter membership information into the system
  • Update member records, contact information, and account details as needed
  • Process membership payments, daily passes, and other transactions
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services and policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workout areas, equipment, locker rooms, and common spaces
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns
  • Provide basic assistance and guidance on proper use of fitness equipment (non-training)
  • Enforce wellness center rules and safety policies
  • Restock supplies such as towels, wipes, and cleaning materials
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor member access and ensure only authorized individuals use the facility

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License or have a reliable source to get to and from work
  • Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and gym safety practices
  • Comfortable handling cash and electronic payment systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and light cleaning duties

Work Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed

Work Environment

  • Indoor fitness facility with exposure to moderate noise levels and cleaning agents
