About This Position
Location: Support Center (Las Vegas, Nevada) – Onsite
Pay Range: $18 per hour
What’s the role?
The Driver is an essential part of the service that we provide to our members. The Driver provides transportation for members to and from appointments, to and from Salvation Army, and other transportation as needed. When not out transporting members, the Driver will assist in the Support Center as needed.
What you’ll do:
- Interact with members and community partners in a professional manner.
- Complete transport for members to various locations in the community (including hospitals, shelters, and clinics).
- Practicing safe driving habits.
- Following all state and national safety regulations and standards.
- Opening vehicle doors and assisting passengers/loading cargo/loading baggage.
- Keeping exterior of vehicle clean and presentable.
- Maintaining vehicle equipment; replacing oil, filling gas tank, general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety.
- Cleaning windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed.
- Keeping interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter.
- Loading and unloading vehicle.
- Completing documentation such as logs and passenger reports.
- Utilize behavioral and physical techniques to prevent injury to patients and others and to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for members; respond appropriately in crisis situations.

- Maintains confidentiality of members at all times.
- Maintain compliance with code of conduct and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in fast paced, expanding environment.
- Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations.
- Ability to work and concentrate amidst distractions.
- Ability to handle interruptions and multi-task.
What you’ll need to start:
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy.
- Valid Nevada driver's license.
- Must pass drug screening and background check in order to start employment with Novum Health.
