JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and scale our DevOps function across both onshore engineers (2–3 FTEs) and offshore DevOps engineers (2–3 resources via a vendor partner).
This role is responsible for building a high-performing DevOps organization that ensures reliable deployments, stable environments, automation maturity, and production excellence. The DevOps Manager will drive CI/CD optimization, cloud infrastructure strategy, release governance, monitoring, and operational resilience while managing vendor accountability and performance. This leader will balance technical depth with operational discipline, improving speed without sacrificing reliability.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:
· Lead, mentor, and develop 2–3 onshore DevOps engineers.
· Manage 2–3 offshore DevOps engineers through a vendor partner, ensuring:
o Clear SLAs and deliverables
o Performance accountability
o Quality and documentation standards
· Establish clear onshore/offshore collaboration workflows.
· Drive continuous improvement in DevOps maturity and operational standards.
· Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.
· Reduce deployment risk and improve deployment success rate.
· Partners with Development, QA, and Product teams to align release strategies with business priorities.
· Ensure environments are:
o Secure
o Cost-optimized
o Stable and scalable
· Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.
· Build operational dashboards that provide leadership visibility into:
o Deployment success rates
o Incident trends
o Performance metrics
o Infrastructure utilization
· Ensure DevOps processes align with security best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineering.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience.
- Experience managing offshore or vendor-based engineering teams.
- Strong experience with:
o CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
o Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or both)
o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc.)
o Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes preferred)
· Experience leading production incident response and root cause analysis.
· Strong understanding of release governance and deployment risk management.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with C#.NET Core and web application development.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative. An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
