Responsibilities
The Lead EHR Technician is the subject matter expert in the method of collecting, assessing and processing of patient documentation in the medical record. The role will provide insight into the application of knowledge to process, store, retrieve, review, assess, and process health-related information in both paper format and electronic format. This person serves as a resource for all members of patient care teams and leadership to improve medical record documentation that allow for accurate medical record practices compliant with applicable Federal, State and Accreditation guidelines. The work done by the Lead EHR Technician supports and contributes to the assessment of quality standards for ePHI processing and reports deficiencies to the appropriate leadership.
**This role offers a hybrid work option. Initial training will take place at a Norton Healthcare facility, and you must be available to come onsite for business needs as required. Employees in this position must reside in Kentucky or Indiana.**

- Three years health information management
Desired:
- Two years health information management
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree
- Registered Health Information Technician
