About This Position

VetPride Services is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our Ft. Worth area job site. The candidate will be responsible for the accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of product to meet company standards or safety, security, and productivity.

Location: 125 Intermodal Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76177

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit: $4.98/hr (as required by the SCA for the sole purpose of purchasing benefits.)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight on pallets and/or in trailers efficiently and safely.
  • Move product to storage areas with proper material handling equipment, such as powered pallet jacks, and efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area.
  • Assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped. Sort, recoup, pack, mark, and label materials. Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
  • Perform duties needed for assembling displays and other specialty value-added services per the customers’ requirements.
  • Load and unload product on and off of conveyors.
  • Participate in physical inventories and note count variances/discrepancies.
  • Perform general grounds/housekeeping maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to withstand freezer cooled environment, non-cooled warehouse.
  • Ability to operate powered pallet jack safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work a specified shift.
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
  • Ability to identify and locate product which requires reading and counting.
  • Ability to read, understand , and follow directions/instructions.
  • Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to properly execute position.
  • Basic familiarity with warehousing preferred, but not required.

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
