POSITION SUMMARY:

This Non-CDL Box Truck Driver is responsible for the safe driving of box truck equipped with air brakes Class C Driver’s License, in order to safely transport materials among facilities, warehouse and other specified locations.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

• Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to ensure safe operating condition.
• Complete daily log and other paperwork as required.
• Deliver materials via the most efficient and safe route available.
• Assist with loading and/or unloading materials.
• Refuel trucks or add other fluids, such as oil or Def Fluids.
• Fill out defective equipment reports.
• Communicate with supervisor or dispatcher concerning delays, unsafe sites or road conditions, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems.
• Check road or weather conditions while in route to determine how routes will be affected and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Support operations as assigned when not on the road.
• Maintain current DOT medical certification and driver’s license.

Hiring Range: $17 up to $26.50/hour depending on years of experience

Travel: Yes, destinations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (M.V.R.) required.
• Experience with box trucks preferred.
• Experience related to materials handling, movement; professional driving experience required – driving while in training is accepted.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Medical Certification is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) drug and alcohol test.
